How Does It Work?
Comprehensive pre-start appraisals
Before you start one-on-one or group training, we give you a comprehensive health, fitness and lifestyle appraisal. The appraisal helps you to train safely and also measure your progress during your fitness program.
Unlike at many gyms, where a "fitness appraisal" equals a 5 minute questionnaire to fill in, we really go into detail to accurately assess where you are now. Here are some of the things we cover:
Health-related items:
- blood pressure
- weight
- resting heart rate
Fitness-related items:
- flexibility
- agility
- upper body and abdominal strength
- cardiovascular fitness
Lifestyle-related items:
- obstacles to overcome
- your schedule
- your likes and dislikes
As part of your appraisal, we also discuss your fitness goals. Based on what you want to achieve, we then put together a fitness plan to make it happen.
